Message from the Academic Coordinator
“The first two days back at school are my favorite,” a teacher shared with me during our early morning conversation at the copier. “Students are so excited to see each other and just so happy to be back,” the teacher explained.
Those words stayed with me throughout the day. Structure and routine are essential for young minds, providing the stability they need to grow and thrive. At the same time, giving students voice and choice in the classroom empowers them to take ownership of their learning and development.
I am deeply grateful for our teachers, who create that balance of stability and independence, offering a space where students can grow confidently. I’m equally thankful for the parents who trust us to provide a safe and supportive environment for their children to explore, learn, and take risks.
While I enjoyed the 3+ weeks off, I’m happy to return to the rhythm of school life and the fresh energy of students—just like the fresh blanket of snow outside. Welcome back QSI community!
